Come to Alexi's Place to kick up your feet and relax on Oia's caldera. Tucked just behind the famous blue dome church, you can't find a more comfortable home away from home. The gated walkway ensures quiet and privacy, away from the noise and cameras of the Oia crowds.
The Space
You will feel easily at home in this carefully renovated historical cave house which was literally excavated and restored from ruins into a comfortable family friendly home.
The smooth white organic curves of the interior envelop you like a cool cocoon. You enter the house in the living and dining room, a perfect place for relaxing on the sofa or enjoying a family style meal. Further into the cave, passing through the living room, is a second lounge. The sofa here converts to two comfortable single beds. The house is kid-friendly, with Smart TV’s in both the living room and the lounge.
A powder room with shower is accessed from the living room and can serve as a second bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped down to the last detail, with everything you need to prepare meals. The bathroom is spacious and unique, with hand-made pigmented plaster and a walk-in shower with rain head. The marble sink was hand carved by a local artisan.
Finally, deep under the layers of volcanic stone, you reach the master bedroom. Here you will have the ultimate sleep experience on a 4-layer luxurious mattress.
At the terrace above the house you will find the perfect spot to take in the bright blue sea and sky or the colors of sunset. Or perch on the cozy bench on the lower terrace by the church to be closer to the soothing earth tones of the caldera cliffs.

Location
Alexi’s Place is centrally located just beside the famous blue dome church in Santorini’s most famous destination neighborhood of Oia.
The sophisticated shops, galleries, elegant restaurants and cute cafes of the village are merely steps away. Follow the stone paved footpaths all around Oia, with its whitewashed Cycladic houses sprinkled with windmills, brilliant blue domed churches and of course those famous caldera cliffs. Don’t miss the opportunity to make a hike along the cliff-side path that winds its way from Oia all the way to Fira.
The neighbourhood has mini-markets with fresh local products, wine shops, ATM, post, rentals, bus and taxi station all within walking distance. Access to the popular beaches is accessible via private car or public bus. A wide variety of restaurants and cafes are available, featuring a range of from traditional Greek to haute cuisine by world renowned chefs.
Getting around
It is easiest to get around Oia by foot, on the network of pedestrian only footpaths that wind throughout the neighborhood.
For most convenient access to other popular destinations on the island, we recommend a rental car. We will happily reserve your car for delivery to your house.
There is a bus station and taxi station within short walking distance of the house. During high season, buses from Oia serve all popular destinations on the island.
